老虎听了狐狸的话无可奈何地放走了狐狸。

老虎垂头丧气的回到家里，坐在那里左思右想－不对呀！为什么狐狸成了百兽之王了呢？不行我得再去看个究竟，到底出了什么问题。于是老虎悄悄地走出家门来到森林里，竟然看到了这样的场面：小猴子再跟刚才戏弄它的狐狸打打闹闹，平时胆小的小白兔骑在狐狸身上，小野猪啦，梅花鹿啦也在狐狸身边嬉闹……这时的老虎终于明白了，勃然大怒：“好啊！你个狡猾的狐狸，这次我可不能饶了你，不然我就不是百兽之王！”老虎立刻扑了上去把狐狸逮个正着。百兽四散奔逃了。
